What the Select Center runs each week
No match day, no countdown — each session is built to develop the player, with the training load varied across the two.
Session 01 · Sharp · Explosive
Develops: explosiveness, 1v1 quality, sharper actions, and competitiveness.
Session 02 · Sustained · Volume
Develops: reading the game, scanning early, and choosing the right football action across the four moments.

Players progress through every format inside Albertson SC — grouped by birth year (Jan–Dec) and aligned to the MLS NEXT Academy Division, so they’re always measured against the best.

Sets the coaching standard and development methodology the Select Center evaluates against.

No. Albertson Select is about identifying new talent in Queens, so it’s open to players who aren’t already with Albertson SC. Current club players already develop inside the Home.
